Companies must be transparent about what happens to genetic data and, above all, whether and to whom it is passed on&#8221;. In the context of national security, however, companies do not always have to disclose all information, which can lead to data subjects&#8217; rights being restricted. &#8220;Particularly in third countries such as the USA, where such laboratories are often located, there is a risk that authorities have or will have access to the data in the future.
