Our expertise in Energy Law

We advise companies on all requirements under energy and financial markets regulation, such as licensing requirements when commencing business activities or ongoing reporting obligations (e.g. under the REMIT [Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency]).

We represent energy companies in investigations by E-Control and in administrative criminal proceedings, for example in “REMIT proceedings”.

We draft, review and negotiate trading agreements, grid access agreements and energy supply agreements (Power Purchasing Agreements).

We represent companies in civil and arbitration proceedings involving claims arising from energy related agreements.

We advise on the establishment of renewable energy communities and citizen energy communities.

We advise on national and cross-border transactions and investments (also as an interdisciplinary one-stop-shop service with Deloitte’s tax and financial advisory experts) in the energy sector, in particular on joint ventures, company acquisitions and sales, due diligence reviews, reorganizations and licenses for new energy projects.
